Green lentils with a fabulous taste

The Anicia lentil variety was created in France and is used commonly to grow what is marketed as "Lentille verte du Puy".  The plant produces blue or white flowers from May to August, each pod contains 2 seeds and the lentils are green. This lentil variety has a flavor profile similar to hazelnuts. Leave to dry before consuming and cook accordingly.

Sunlight: Full sun

Soil requirement: rich in organic matter, well drained, fertile, sunny

Sowing and cultivation: Sow 5 to 6 seeds per slot, from late February to June, and leave a distance of 40 cm between slots. Add more soil to cover the plant without reaching the leaves when the seedlings reach 10-12 cm. Harvest from July to September. When harvesting, leave the plant to dry in a sunny spot for a day, then hang in bundles in a ventilated room.
