Heirloom tomato from Honduras

Tegucigalpa Tomato is a heirloom from Honduras.  Its shape is slightly different than the other paste tomatoes and varies from large elongated pointed plum to small with a bump at the bottom end. The tomatoes are bright red, juicy and so nice we ate most of them of the plants. Wonderful as a tomato sauce, in soups, in salads, for slicing or canning. This tomato has an good flavour and the plant is very prolific. It will need to be grown in a polytunnel in Ireland.

Soil requirement: Well drained and rich

Sowing, growing and cultivation: Start the tomato seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost. Sow 6 mm deep at a 21C soil temperature. Transplant out after last frost. Space 60-90cm apart. Indeterminate.
