Origanum vulgare ssp is a vivacious Mediterranean aromatic plant. Greek oregano leaves are most often used once dried. They flavor pizzas, grilled meats or vegetables stews, in salads and gratins. The leaves can also be eaten fresh or can be frozen for later consumption. Greek oregano has more developed flavors than common oregano.
