A radish with very long roots from Mallorca

Mallorca Long Radish is a radish with very long roots and a profusion of leaves. Radish leaves are edible and can be used to make pesto or add to soups. The radish root has a pink skin and white flesh. It is used together with the Pimiento Ros de Mallorca to compliment the paella and in salads such as the typical mallorcan trempo picadillo.

Sunlight: Full sun

Soil requirement: well-drained, light soil

Sowing and cultivation: Sow seeds 0.5 - 1 cm deep. Direct-sow spring radishes starting 4 weeks before last frost date. You can do successive planting every two weeks.
