An Heirloom tomato predating WWII

Marianna's Peace Heirloom tomato was introduced in 2001 by Gary Isben of Tomatofest and named in honour of Marianne Worschech Tibbetts. A family heirloom with roots in pre-WWII Czechoslovakia. Indeterminate tomato type variety that produces large yields of 1-2 lb., pink, beefsteak tomatoes with exceptionally rich, luscious, complex old tomatoes flavours. Seeds grown and seed saved in Cork Ireland.

Optimal Germination Temperature: 24C-28C

Germination time in days: 7-14 days

Indicative Days to maturity: 80-120 days

Sunlight: Full Sun

Soil requirement: Well drained and rich

Sowing and cultivation: Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Sow 6 mmm deep at a 21 C soil temperature. Transplant out after last frost. Space 60 - 90 cm apart. Indeterminate.
