A heirloom melon from the Navajo community

This old variety produces beautiful round fruits with a pale green skin. Their red-pink flesh offers a good sweet and fragrant flavor. It is a variety of watermelon with a very long shelf life.

Germination time in days: 7-21 Days

Indicative Days to maturity: 85 Days

Sunlight: Full sun

Soil requirement: Sandy, hummus rich, well drained

Sowing and cultivation: Sow in pots from March, at a temperature between 18 and 20°C, 6 weeks before planting. Prick out with the root ball, after the last frosts, in planting holes enriched with compost, spaced 1.5 m in all directions. It is recommended to grow in a polytunnel in Ireland
