A witty dwarf tomato
Sean’s Yellow Dwarf is a mid-season regular leaf dwarf tomato from the Dwarf Tomato project. This variety produces beautiful and heavy harvest of beefsteak type fruits, bright yellow with light yellow flesh barely tinged with pink. The tomato skin is smooth, and weigh between 80-180 g. The plant can reach up to 1m.
Sean’s Yellow Dwarf originated from a cross between Golden Dwarf Champion and Cherokee Green made by Patrina Nuske Small in 2005, named Witty. It has a juicy, refreshing, excellent and perfectly balanced flavor and texture.
This variety has been pledged to the OSSI (Open Source Seed Initiative) in 2017. Soil requirement: Well drained and rich
Sowing and cultivation: Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Sow seed in a propagator from March in warmth. Keep small plants in a sunny, frost-free environment until they can be planted in the greenhouse from late April or outdoors in late May. Leave 50 cm distance between plants.
