Wherokowhai is another production from the Dwarf Tomato Project. it is a potato leaf dwarf variety that produces oblate medium to medium large fruit that ripen to a rich yellow with swirls of red. The flavor is outstanding, well balanced and sweet, and the variety is quite prolific. It originated from a cross made by Ray South between a selection of our project line called Dopey and Lucky Cross and named Dizzy. Wherokowhai was selected and named by Richard Watson. Ideal for container growing.
This variety has been pledged to the OSSI (Open Source Seed Initiative) in 2017.
The OSSI is working to maintain fair and open access to plant genetic diversity worldwide and ensuring freedom to use these resources for farmers, gardeners, breeders, and communities of this and future generations. Free the Seed!
