Camo Oakheart Lettuce Mix

€2,80 EUR
100

The Camo Oakheart Lettuce Mix is a oak leaf lettuce variety by Wild Garden Seeds. The story goes that a ‘Deer Tongue’ variety went camo with red spots and a bronze overcast after an unplanned mating with a red-to-heart romaine, only to be made oakish by a chance encounter with Green Oakheart. Whatever happened, the result is striking. The resulting genepool ranges in color from deep solid red through all stages of spotting, speckling, and blushing into spotless green. The Camo Oakheart lettuce mix will produce dense colored heads in a range of sizes and shapes. This is a fabulously diverse oakleaf lettuce mix. The Camo Oakheart Lettuce Mix has been pledged to the Open source Seed initiative (OSSI)

OSSI is working to maintain fair and open access to plant genetic diversity worldwide and ensuring freedom to use these resources for farmers, gardeners, breeders, and communities of this and future generations. Free the Seed!
