Irish seeds

Sow Diverse Irish grown seeds is a selection of seeds grown chemical-free and seed saved in Cork, Ireland. As part of our commitment to seed and food sovereignty, Sow Diverse's  gardeners grow amateur varieties respecting organic farming principles and permaculture principles in Ireland and save tomato seeds, dwarf tomato seeds, perennial seeds, pumpkin seeds, squash seeds and so on. Most of the varieties grown are conservation, community grown, landraces and amateur varieties. These seeds are not certified. As a member of the Gaia Foundation and the Seed Sovereignty UK and Ireland Network, our aim is to, where possible :

1- grow sustainably,

2- increase the diversity of heritage, conservation, landrace, community grown seeds offered locally,

3- decrease Ireland's reliance on seeds coming from outside the country and,

4- increase Ireland's control of our seed supply and become self sufficient.

All the seeds in the Sow Diverse Irish grown Seeds selection are expressly not intended for commercial growing and are for amateur gardening, conservation purposes and collectors. Every year we change our selection. These amateur seeds are not certified and are grown applying permaculture principles. We keep building up and populating this section and will be adding more as we go. Please note some of these vegetable seeds may not be in the EU official seed catalog as they could be open source seeds or amateur varieties.
