An Italian cucumber that turns into a melon
Carosello Tondo Di Manduria Cucumber plants produce large egg-shaped melon cucumbers that are an Italian delicacy in the region of Puglia. When the cucumbers ripen, the flesh becomes sweeter and softer until finally turning orange-yellow just like melons. In Ireland, it is recommended to grow them in the greenhouse or polytunnel. They are great eaten as appetizer and are a nice and welcome fresh snack in the summer.
