Dark Purple Carrot Pastanaga  is called in Spanish Pastanaga morada. It is a purple carrot with a creamy core traditionally from Mallorca. It is a forgotten variety which is coming back. Can be sown after the last frost up to September. Keep soil moist.

Germination time in days: 10-20 days

Indicative Days to maturity: 90 -120 days

Sunlight: Full sun-partial shade

Soil requirement: rich and light

Sowing and cultivation: Sow seed indoors 3-4 weeks before the last frost or directly outside in full sun once soil temps are above 15 C. Keep moist. Germination may be slow. Thin to 5-8 cm apart. Harvest when size is about 15-20 cm long
