The Asparagus Precoce d'Argenteuil is a French heirloom variety of asparagus from 1860 created by Louis Lhérault and appreciated by gourmets. This perennial plant reach up to 1.2 m tall, and the shoots are eaten 2 to 3 years after sowing. This early variety is the traditional variety recommended for the production of white asparagus and is characterized by its purple or pink tips, great taste, earliness, vigorousness, and good productivity.
