Big Spring Cherokee Yellow tomato has roots in Caldwell County, Kentucky, where it has been grown since before the 1930s. This indeterminate, potato-leaf variety carries Cherokee heritage in every bite. Mid-to late-season vines yield hefty 280 to 450g beefsteak tomatoes glowing with golden yellow skin and marbled interiors. The flavour? Sweet, fruity and low-acid with lots of flesh and very few seeds - sunshine on a plate perfect for enjoying fresh with a sprinkle of salt, slicing or to make the most beautiful yellow tomato sauce. ,🍅🍅 A rare treasure of Appalachian history and a must-grow for heirloom tomato lovers. And bonus: it did well for us here in Cork, Ireland. Amateur Seeds grown and seed saved in Cork, Ireland, not certified for commercial use.
