Grelos de Santiago is from the region of Galicia in Spain. The leafy part of this unusual turnip is considered a delicacy in Spain. This turnip has a rapid growth. It has large leaves and when cut at the base of the stem, it is great cooked and has a pleasant pungent flavor. This variety of Brassica Rapa will not produce bulbs. It is a great vegetable to have in the winter when green vegetables are scarce. Great for autumn and winter planting.
