The Bleu de Lieges leek is an old variety from the Ardennes Region split between France, Belgium and Luxembourg. This hardy leek has a dark green-blue long foliage and produces large leeks. very cold resistant, it is an ideal leek variety to grow in winter. It is suitable for cooking in soups, in a stew or simply steamed and served with a vinaigrette dressing.
