Dwarf Betty's Smile is a regular leaf bush tomato variety from the Dwarf Tomato Project, pledged to the Open Source Seed Initiative. Betty's Smile tomato plants grow up to 1.20m and produce good yields of mid-sized pink beefsteak fruit, weighing up to 200g, slightly oblong with ribbed shoulders. The flesh is meaty, juicy with a well balanced tomato flavour and a slightly tangy pulp. Betty's Smile is the result of a cross made by Craig LeHoullier between "Pale Leaf Mortgage Lifter" and "Dwarf Jade Beauty" and released to the public in 2025. We love the beautiful colour, productivity and taste of this variety and it is one of the varieties that ripened early for us. . This variety has been pledged to the OSSI (Open Source Seed Initiative). Amateur Seeds grown and seed saved in Cork, Ireland, not certified for commercial use.
The OSSI is working to maintain fair and open access to plant genetic diversity worldwide and ensuring freedom to use these resources for farmers, gardeners, breeders, and communities of this and future generations. Free the Seed!
