Golden courgette goodness, straight from the garden
Courgette Gold Rush is from the Cucurbita pepo species. The compact plants are filled with eye-catching golden- yellow courgettes of about 15-20 cm long. The flesh is white and tender and we have been using them in the kitchen, sautéed with onions and garlic, left to cool down and mixed with lemon juice, dry mint and oil. What a delightful starter! 🤩🤩. The Gold Rush courgette (zucchini) first public listing appears to be in the 1970s. In 1980, it was a winner of the AAS (All-America Selections national winner) in the edible/vegetable category. In the course of our trial, we did not observe any disease on this variety and the plants kept producing throughout the season.
