The Japanese Komatsuna mustard is a popular traditional Japanese green leafy vegetable. This heirloom variety is quick growing with an upright habit and produces tender, deep green leaves with a mild flavor similar to spinach. It can be harvested any time and is suitable for succession planting since it adapts both to heat and cold conditions. It is a very versatile leafy  green, fabulous eaten in a salad, pickled, stir-fried, in a soup.

Soil requirement: Well drained and rich

Sowing and cultivation: Sow seeds in late spring/early summer after last frost or late summer/early fall. Suitable for succession planting
