Yin Yang Beans are beautiful dry bean, white and black that resemble the Taoist symbol. These beans are truly unique. The yin Yang bean beans are perfectly edible. The plant grows into a strong upright annual bush that could do with support. The beans are best eaten when young but you can leave them on the plant to dry out and give you that beautiful black and white pattern.

Soil requirement: Average, well-drained soil.

Sowing and cultivation: Start indoors 2-3 weeks before last frost. or Sow outdoors from May to July 2.5 cm deep and 7-10 cm apart around poles, trellis, or fence when danger of frost has passed and soil temperature is over 16C. A strong, sturdy trellis such as a fence panel to support the plant foliage is recommended.
