Kalibos cabbage is a red pointed heirloom cabbage variety from Eastern Europe. This red cabbage variety produces red to purple pointed heads of about 2 kgs. This beautiful red cabbage has a sweet taste and is perfect for making blue kraut or sauerkraut. It can also be shred into salads.

Optimal Germination Temperature: 15-20C

Germination time in days: 7-12 days

Indicative Days to maturity: 100 to 150 days

Sunlight: Full sun

Soil requirement: rich and well drained

Sowing and cultivation: Sow seeds 1-2 cm deep in regular compost indoor from the beginning of March to April and place in a propagator or a sunny window sill. Transplant when large enough. Alternatively sow directly outdoors in April. Please note cabbage seedlings are very attractive to slugs and snails.
