Fabulous tasting aubergine from Valencia
Listada de Gandia Aubergine is a Spanish variety from the town of Gandia in the Valencian community producing thin skinned purple with light green or white strikes aubergines. Fruits are oval shaped, about 15 cm long. It has a tender and tasty flesh, giving it a fine and incomparable aroma in the mouth. The Listada de Gandia aubergine variety is very productive and great for container growing. Aubergine thrives in hot and dry conditions so it is advised to grow in sunny sheltered spot and in a polytunnel.

Sowing and cultivation: Start indoors 8 to 12 weeks before last frost. Sow at 1/2 cm at soil temperature of 23C and lightly cover. Plant in polytunnel or Transplant out when they are at least two sets of leaves after danger of frost. It is advised to stake the plant. Space plants by 60-80 cm.
