Violet Jasper is a heirloom tomato from China. This very productive variety produces fruits of 30 to 90 g, of purplish red color streaked with green. They have a nice flavor and originate from China where they are called Tzi Bi U.
Violet Jasper is an heirloom variety from China that was first introduced in the US by a member of seed exchange. It is a low maintenance variety that is easy to grow and is very productive. Violet Jasper tomatoes have a fabulous violet-purple and red color with bright green stripes and are quite small with a slightly thick skin to prevent cracking with lots of flesh and a rich and tangy sweet flavor.

Sowing and cultivation: Sow in pots from March, at a temperature between 16 and 20°C, under a well-lit shelter, 5 weeks before planting. Transplant the entire root ball in the ground, after the last frosts, at a minimum distance of 50 cm, burying the stem up to the first leaves. Water thoroughly when planting.
