Hida Beni turnip (Kabu) is a Japanese traditional vegetable, grown in the Hida region of Gifu prefecture. This traditional Japanese turnip has a scarlet skin and produces a flattened half-globe shaped root . The flesh is white, mild and has good texture. This turnip grows well in cool conditions and is best picked young. Great for pickling.
