An iconic dwarf tomato
The Kookaburra Cackle Dwarf tomato, a mid-season rugose regular leaf dwarf, boasts abundant small brown round tomatoes with rich purple red flesh with good flavour and weighing 80-140 grams. This dwarf tomato variety was named after the iconic Australian bird Kookaburra , the brown and beige king-fisher, known for its distinctive call resembling human laughter. It originated in 2008 from a cross between Wilpena and Cherokee Purple, developed by Patrina Nuske Small and named Plentiful F1. The plants typically grow to around one meter in height.This variety was selected and named by Patrina. This variety has been pledged to the OSSI (Open Source Seed Initiative). seeds grown and seed saved in Cork, Ireland.

Sowing and cultivation: Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Sow seed in a propagator from March in warmth. Keep small plants in a sunny, frost-free environment until they can be planted in the greenhouse from late April or outdoors in late May. Leave 50 cm distance between plants.
