Dwarf BrandyFred originated from a cross made by Vince Lavallo between Brandywine and Dwarf wild Fred named Tasty. Dwarf BrandyFred is a potato leaf dwarf variety that produces oblate medium large fruits that ripen to a dusky rose purple hue. The flavor is well balanced and intense, and the variety is quite prolific. This variety has been pledged to the OSSI (Open Source Seed Initiative). Amateur Seeds grown and seed saved in Cork, Ireland, not certified for commercial use.

Soil requirement: Well drained and rich

Sowing and cultivation: Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Sow seed in a propagator from March in warmth. Keep small plants in a sunny, frost-free environment until they can be planted in the greenhouse from late April or outdoors in late May. Leave 50 cm distance between plants.
