Cardinal Mazarin Tomato is an heirloom from St Petersburg, Russia! The story goes that it was named after a French Cardinal, Mazarin, who had a pointed beard, This indeterminate variety produces heart-shaped pink tomatoes of up to 700 grams and grow in clusters of 4 or 5 fruit. It is a dense and fleshy beef tomato with few seeds, very aromatic with a sweet taste. Its has a long and regular production cycle from mid-season all the way until frost. In our trial, this tomato was not as sweet as we expected however it may be due to the level of nutrients we gave it. Seeds grown and seed saved in Cork, Ireland.
