The Mc Clintock's Big pink tomato is another rare tomato hard to find nowadays that we grew in Cork, Ireland, last year. The Mc Clintock's Big Pink is a heirloom tomato variety originating from Mac and Emaline McClintock family of Wellington Maine who are said to have brought back the seeds from Pennsylvania. The seeds were then collected by the family of a SSE member and made available in the Seed Savers 1998 Yearbook. The indeterminate potato leaf type plants produce very good yields of large pink beefsteak tomatoes with an excellent taste. The vigorous plants were producing up to early November. Some make the bold claim that this tomato tastes better than Brandywine. We concur! This is one for the gourmet collector! Seeds grown and seed saved in Cork, Ireland.
