Ananas Noir tomato aka Black Pineapple tomato, is a beefsteak tomato variety that was created in 1998 by Pascal MOREAU, a horticulturist from Belgium. The Ananas noir tomato is known for its fantastic flavors and produces large ribbed fruit, weighing from 400-800 g, bronze green colored nuanced with black red. It has a thick and dense flesh, green nuanced with red and brown and the musky flavor of black tomatoes with spicy and fruity notes..

Soil requirement: Well drained and rich

Sowing and cultivation: Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Sow seed in a propagator from March in warmth. Keep small plants in a sunny, frost-free environment until they can be planted in the greenhouse from late April or outdoors in late May.
