A aromatic annual with many benefits
Artemisia annua is an annual plant, originating from Asia, that is aromatic, attractive and beneficial, and is traditionally used in Chinese medicine. The plant has attractive and scented foliage making it a fabulous plant to have nearby. If you intend to dry the leaves, it is better to harvest the plant before flowering. Please note is not suitable for those allergic to pollen. Sowing and cultivation: Sow indoors in compost from March to June. Mix the seeds with snad before sowing as they are very small to ensure a good spread. Lightly cover as they need some light to germinate. Keep the soil moist until the seedling appear. Transplant outdoors spacing by 40 cm in a sunny spot and good deep and fertile soil.
