Kang Kong is a popular leaf vegetable in Asian cuisine.  Stems and leaves are eaten raw in salads or cooked and used in many recipes. Same culture as watercress in humid soil, greenhouse or garden, harvested in 2 months.

Optimal Germination Temperature: 20C

Germination time in days: 5-15 days

Indicative Days to maturity: 50-70 days

Sunlight: full sun to light shade

Soil requirement: well drained

Sowing and cultivation: soak the seeds for 24 hours before sowing. Sow seeds directly outdoors half an inch to 1 inch deep covering lightly with soil after all chance of frost has passed and soil temperature is at 20C. Keep moist. Germination 5-15 days . Cannot stand the cold. maturity 50-60 days after planting. Suitable for succession planting.
