Boulette de Touraine is an old variety from the Val de Loire region in France. This high-yielding and tasty red cherry tomato variety produces attractive olive-shaped and crispy tomatoes with firm, sweet flesh and very few seeds. The seeds are said to originate from the gardening journalist Patricia Beucher. The Boulette de Touraine plants grew well for us and we must admit it was very hard to resist the urge to not eat the fruits on the spot. They are truly sweet and tasty and too easy to snack on for both children and adults. They are best suited as a snack, aperitif or in salads. Seeds grown and seed saved in Cork, Ireland.
