Takane Ruby Buckwheat is a vibrant pinkish-red buckwheat variety hailing from Japan. This gluten-free superfood is grown for its beautiful flower clusters. The variety was originally discovered growing wild in the Himalayas at an altitude of 12,000 feet by Akio Ujihara, a professor emeritus from Shinshu University. Pollinators are attracted to the flowers and the honey produced possesses 100 times the antioxidant power of regular honey. An eye-catching addition to any garden, this variety is also a great cover crop and green manure. Due to the scarcity of this item, we can only sell 2 packets at a time per order.
