Hard to find, almost extinct variety that is very tasty and fragrant. French heirloom first recorded pre-1885. The name translated means "Delight of the Table". This melon offers fruits of about 450 grams with very sweet flesh. You'll enjoy growing this melon for its unusual appearance, its taste and to participate in keeping alive this very old variety.

Germination time in days: 4-10 days

Indicative Days to maturity: 85-110 days

Sowing and Cultivation: Start seeds indoors from the end of March to May, sow 3 seeds per pot at a depth of 1 cm, the tip directed downwards. Place the buckets in a heated mini-greenhouse or a propagator.  Germination temperature of the seeds is between 24 and 35°C.  Seeds should sprout between 10-15 days. When the seedlings have developed their first set of true leaves, select the most vigorous plant and transplant the other two into 2 new pots to give each of the seed more space. After the last frost, plant the seedlings in the polytunnel. Do not let the soil dry out too much.
