A beautiful brown tomato

Maralinga Dwarf tomato is another creation of the Dwarf Tomato Project. This mid-season rugose regular leaf variety yields abundant, medium to large 6-10oz oblate tomatoes with a rich brown skin and meaty purple-red flesh. The name Maralinga comes from a region in the arid north of South Australia where the British conducted atomic bomb tests in the 1950s, which displaced the indigenous population and contaminated the land with radiation fallout.. This Dwarf tomato Maralinga variety has been pledged to the OSSI (Open Source Seed Initiative). Seeds grown and seed saved in Cork, Ireland.

The OSSI is working to maintain fair and open access to plant genetic diversity worldwide and ensuring freedom to use these resources for farmers, gardeners, breeders, and communities of this and future generations. Free the Seed!
