Galeux d'Eysines is a French Heirloom pumpkin variety from Eysines, in the Bordeaux region. It produces large and spherical pink fruit, flattened at both ends, covered with warty looking knobs and can weigh up to 20 kgs. The flesh is orange-yellow, very thick, super sweet and of excellent quality. The Galeux d'Eysines is excellent in soups as it makes for an exquisite velvety texture. Just do not be fooled by its look.
