This tomato is considered the best, the tastiest and the biggest of all the white tomatoes
The Great White tomato is a cream-colored tomato usually considered the best and the biggest of all the white tomato varieties. This variety produces globe-shaped fruits that can weigh up to 900g. The fruit takes on a yellowish hue on the blossom end when it ripens, and has a pale yellow meaty flesh. To test if the tomato is ripe, just press the tomato gently and the flesh should yield slightly under pressure. The Great White tomatoes have very few seeds and are known for being one of the tastiest varieties with a delightfully sweet melon-like flavor with notes of guava. The plant is an indeterminate variety and will need stacking. This variety is extremely productive and very hardy as the plants have a great amount of foliage that protects against sunscald. In Ireland, it is advised to grow all tomatoes in a greenhouse or polytunnel.
