The Jaune du Doubs carrot is an old French Heirloom from the Doubs region, mentioned for the first time in 1894 by Johnson and then by Vilmorin-Andrieux a few years later. This heirloom carrot variety produces bright yellow skin carrots with conical and long shaped roots with a sweet flavor. The roots can grow up to 25 cm and retain their colour. Their sweetness improves with the cooking process.
