Juana's Orange Amaranth is a heirloom amaranth variety from Guatemala. The story goes that it was named after Juana, a Mayan woman whose family revived the seeds. The Juana's Orange amaranth variety produces beautiful and bright orange flower stalk with green foliage. This variety will yield an abundance of white colored seeds that can be ground into flour or popped and eaten. The leaves are edible and will mature after 30 days. For the seeds, they will reach maturity at 90 days. Limited to 1 packet per customer.

Sowing and cultivation: Sow in trays, under a very bright shelter. Cover the seeds very lightly and keep moist. When the plants have 3 to 4 leaves, transplant in pots or in the ground, in well warmed soil, 60 cm in all directions. It is also possible to sow directly in place, in rows spaced 60 cm apart. Thin out to 60 cm on the row.
