Mammoth Melting Sugar Pea seeds heirloom Irish grown

Mammoth Melting is a heirloom sugar pea variety, sometimes described as snow pea, that grows over 2 m tall and produces light green pea pods with 6 to 8 peas inside. This prolific sugar pea variety has excellent flavour and will start producing between 55 to 65 days and is best picked young. The peas will need to have a strong trellis. Please note this variety is susceptible to pea weevil attacks so will need to be watched closely. Seeds grown and seed saved in Cork, Ireland.

Indicative Days to maturity: 55-65 days

Soil requirement: well drained, non acidic

Sowing and cultivation: Direct sow outdoors 1"deep, 2" apart in early spring when soil temperature reaches at least 7C. Plant row apart 24". Suitable for succession planting for a continuous harvest. It is advised to grow this pepper in a greenhouse or sunny sheltered spot since they need high temperature
