Nozawana turnip is a traditional vegetable from Japan grown specifically for its dark green, long leafed leaves and stalks. The Nozawana turnip has a tender texture, a mild flavor and behaves well  in warm and cool seasons. The Nozawana turnip is commonly used for pickling.

Sowing and cultivation: Sow seeds in spring or late summer/early fall for winter harvest. Keep soil moist. Fertilize as needed. Plant every 2 weeks for continuous harvest. Cool temperatures improve the quality and flavor of turnips. Sow 3/5cm apart, thin to 12-15 cm apart.
