Prescott Fond Blanc Melon is a French heirloom variety with the most fragrant aroma and an uneven outer shell similar to a squash. The flesh is juicy and sweet and its color is salmon orange. This variety likes a hot and dry growing season and is best when picked slightly green and ripened indoors. In Ireland it is best to start it early in the season and leave it in the hottest part of the polytunnel or greenhouse.
