Italian Heirloom, the Prince Borghese tomato produces egg-shaped fruits with a pointy tip! Scarlet red in color, its flesh is dense, tasty with few seeds. It is one of the most used varieties for drying tomatoes. it is not uncommom to see those tomatoes drying under the sun in Italy or simply hanged by the stems in a dry and ventilated area of the house. This small indeterminate plants bear small fruits with a rich tomato taste and little juice and will produce fruits throuhout the season. Perfect for sauces or sun drying. This tomato variety is very productive and the vines must be staked or caged.
