With its thin skin, the Silver Slicer cucumber does not need peeling and can be eaten straight as is simply sliced with a bit of salt. Developed by Cornell University in the US, it is resistant to powdery mildew. This is one for the gourmet, the food aficionados, the adventurous, the foodies... And... What a heavy producer! Sowing and cultivation: Sow seeds indoors 6 weeks before last frost if you will be growing them in a heated greenhouse. Sow cucumber seeds on their side, 1–2 cm deep, in small pots. Keep them at 21°C . Or Sow directly outside after the last chance of frost has passed and the soil temperature is at 21 C. Keep cucumber plants well watered to prevent bitterness.
