Tonda Musona is a large Italian white skinned sweet onion with a mild taste to be used almost immediately as it does not not store well. Very popular in gardens as they grow without too much effort. Great for cooking or eating raw as an addition to salads.

Sowing and cultivation: Sow seed indoors from March 15 mm deep and cover lightly with compost. Transplant out when the plant reaches 15 cm (about 40 days after sowing). Leave 20 cm distance between plants and if planting in rows, leave 30/40 cm between each row. This onion can also be sown in September and overwintered.
