A West Caribbean Chilli

Vegetarian Chilli Pepper is a West Indian heirloom variety known for its fragrant and flavorful fruits. The story goes that during the famine in the West Indies in the 1700's. as the population only had vegetables to eat, this pepper was what was used to flavour their dishes. Widely used in Caribbean cuisine, it adds a mild, subtle yet delicious flavor to dishes without overwhelming spice levels. Its fruits can be easily bitten into without any concerns of burning your palate, Seeds grown and seed saved in Cork, Ireland.

Soil requirement: rich in organic matter, well drained, fertile

Sowing and cultivation: Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Sow seed in a propagator from March in warmth. Keep small plants in a sunny, frost-free environment until they can be planted in the greenhouse from late April or outdoors in late May. Transplant with 90 cm between plants
