Parris Island is an American Heirloom and was first introduced in 1952 in South Carolina. It is a Romaine lettuce with dark green leaves and a cream white heart. The outer leaves are usually harvested as needed rather than harvesting the whole head at once. Taste sweet and crisp. Great for salads and sandwiches.

Germination time in days: 7-15 days

Indicative Days to maturity: 60-80 days
