A tomato rich in traditions

The Piennolo Napoletano tomato is the oldest and most typical products of the Campania region in Italy. This Italian heirloom variety produces red cherry tomatoes with an excellent taste. They are famous for their organoleptic quality. The cherry bunches are typically harvested between July and August and tied and arranged together and left to hang in a well ventilated area. These dark red skinned cherry tomatoes with a pointy bit are storage tomatoes as their leathery skin and dense pulp with their intense and sweet flavor allow them to be stored and preserved for a long time.
